Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Garnishing Wages

We are letting our mobile home be reposessed, and the lender is threatening to garnish wages. Is there a way that they would legally be allowed to do that? Also, they cannot currently contact us, but are harrassing relatives in 2 other households. Can they legally do that if they are asked to stop? We are not bankrupting and all other credit is in excellent standing. Thank you.

Re: Garnishing Wages

Your wages cannot be garnisheed in Texas, except for child support, a student loan, or taxes.

If you write to them and tell them that all further communications are to be in writing, and give them an address to write to, they must stop the phone calls.
