Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Haven't received a light bill since December 01

I have not received a light bill since December 01. I switched to New Power and never received a bill from them. They are not bankrupt. TX U is now my carrier & I still have not received a bill. My question is: Can TX U collect for New Power whom I never received a bill from? Am I liable to TX U for New Power's incompetence? The bill I received last December 01 was from HL&P.

You are responsible for the payment of power you have used. When the bill comes in, and it will sooner or later, you'll have a chance to negotiate a series of payments to discharge the obligation. New Power may be incompetent, but you used the electricity.
