Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
20 year sentence
In 2002, my 17 yo nephrew was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. This is his first offense and he was sentenced to 20 yrs with a attorney. It has been five years and I need help to find someone to take this case bacl to court. The attorney hired for the case just took my families money and didnt provide any service. I need help finding the proper steps. I have no idea about the legal system and would like to find someone honest who is willing to help me. My nephew has no parents, mom abandoned him and father is deceased.I am all that he has and is in need for someone to help

It might be too late, however contact an attorney. The attorney will be able to advise you after obtaining a complete copy of the court record, and a transcript of the trial.
