Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Border Patrol
I know someone who was recently traveling in Texas and came upon a border patrol checkpoint. The drug dog found marijuana in the vehicle and they were detained for about 3 hours. They took personal information and prints several times and ran them through several systems. The only paperwork they signed were verification that they had received miranda rights. They were not given a court date or arrested. Will this appear on their records and how can you check your record?

Re: Border Patrol
If this story is true, then I am flabbergasted, and have no earthly idea. They might want to hire a lawyer to discreetly check the records.
