Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Charged with murder when one was not committed
I am taking a course and my professor gives ''facts'' that are usually wrong. He said that if he shoots a gun at me (yes, he used me as an example) and he misses. Not harming me, not touching me, just shoots it at me intending to kill me that he can be tried for murder. How is this possible, or is it, if I am not dead?

Based upon what you said, it would be attempted murder.
