Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Confer
What does the term Confer Date mean? The attorney is saying that the confer date has passed and the only way to dispose of my son's case is trial or go open to the judge for sentencing or bench trial.

Re: Confer
There are local rules in each county, and this must be a policy specific to your county local rules. Often judges will impose a date certain in which to resolve a case. In specific circumstances a judge may make an exception, but I wouldn't count on it.
