Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

What can we do against the kids committing criminal mischief towards us

We have a teenager in our neighborhood that has egged our cars, knocked on our windows in the night, broken yard ornaments, stolen and destroyed golf carts, and as of lastweek threw a stolen yard ornament through our 6' plate glass window. We reported it and found his myspace page where he videotaped the assault and posted it online. We gave a copy to the police, and they don't seem to interested in prosecuting even though we have his video of the crime that is costing us a little over $500 to replace. He also stated that he and his friends (whom we don't know) broke into two houses that same night.

We were told the kid had already served juvenile time, his mother is dead, his father doesn't care and leaves him unsupervised 80% of the time.

What can we do to get the police to move on this?

HELP! We are prisoners in our own home.

If the local Police or Sheriff's Department wont do anything you need to contact the Texas Rangers.

I would sue the parents. And keep calling the police.

In addition, if it were me, I would also take all of your evidence to the investigorts with the District Attorney's Office, and I would contact CPS. Suing the dad might convince him to do some parenting.
