Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

How long after someone has been indicted on a drug charge in Texas, do they get to see what evidence if any the DA has? Also, how long does it take for a bond reduction?

Actually, the lawyer for the accused generally sees most of the evidence, if not all of it, before the case is indicted. If the DA doesn't have an open file, the lawyer must file discovery requests. As far as a bond reduction, the lawyer file a motion to reduce bond along with an application for writ of habeas corpus IF s/he cannot get the bond reduced during a conversation with the judge and prosecutor. Most bonds are set by schedule so there really is a rare opportunity to get a bond reduction except in exceptional circumstances.
