Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Hi! Obviously the sale and distribution of fake ID's are quite illegal, but I was wondering: could I be persecuted for the sale of novelty ID's? Whether for a movie prop, or pure entertainment, if I were to create a novelty ID ,that resembled a Driver's License, but had "NOT A GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT- REMOVAL OF DISCLAIMER IS ILLEGAL" in irremovable ink on the back, could I get in trouble?

Yes, you can be persecuted, but I doubt if you can be prosecuted! Could you get into trouble? Yes, depending on what the IDs look like. Did you have more than 5 of them? If so, you will need a very competent attorney!!
