Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

About two years ago my husband and I seperated for about a month. One night i went to have drinks wih my friend and her husband at their home. Later that night my husband Ricky was calling me repededly to my cellphone becouse he wanted to pick me up and take he home. Do to the fact that he sounded completely drunk and possibly under the influence of drugs I declined his offer. He came to my friends house and began arguing with me wich led to my friends husband asking him to leave and both men getting in each others face. To avoid any physical fights we called the police wich came and just asked Ricky to go home. We told the police we wanted him taken to jail untill he got sobber becouse we feard he would come back after the police left. The officer told us he couldnt take him to jail unless we pressed charges. He spent 3 days in jail and was charged with family violence. We got back together and have not had a problem since. So my question is....Can those charges be removed from his record? Other than those charges his recored is clear.

Robert Tuthill Law Office of Robert H. Tuthill

If he plead guilty or no contest, then his record is there forever. If the case was dismissed then he should consult with a lawyer about expunging the record.
