Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

No action from court

December 2005 slid in ditch (tires were slick) while turning too fast. Had had a few beers (3 to be exact). Cops were called by lady who lived on corner. I told them I had had a couple (did not want to lie), did FST, refused breath test, went to jail (no video at jail). FST video looks great. Nothing has happened with case - lawyer keeps saying DA has not looked at tape yet. It has almost been 2 years and I have even asked for a trial. Last court date was Jan. Lawyer keeps saying he is communicating with DA but this is really dragging out. I have never heard of a DWI case taking this long. What do you think?

Re: No action from court

I think that whatever you paid your lawyer, you got a bargain. Often a rush to the courthouse does not benefit the client. Follow your lawyers's advice, it is working so far.
