Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

Hi;--and my quiestion is 10 years ago i got stopped in new mexico;and on 1-16-2008 new mexico had me arrested ispent 3 months i jail and went to court got 2years probation 44 hrs.Community service and have to go to dwi intervention..By law can they make this stick for 2 years?

You probably should repost your question to New Mexico attorneys. In Texas, the statute of limitations on a criminal case is tolled while the defendant is out of the state. If it is a valid New Mexico judgment, and does not offend Texas law or policy, then it can be enforced here.Once the case is resolved, it is difficult to appeal or attack it; and you have strict deadlines for doing so.
