Re: dwi record non disclosure

Hello there,

The only way to get your record expunged is if the case was dismissed or you were found not guilty.

If placed on deferred probation for a DWI prior to 96, that is a case that you could have an affidavit of non disclosure filed so prospective employers cannot see your criminal conviction.

Texas changed the law for DWI's in 96 where deferred adjudication was not available after that date so any DWI probation you were placed on after 96 is with you forever.

Sincerely,

Erick Platten
