DWI record
I am wondring ow long will DWI remain on record? My son is an aduslt now and this happened when he was barely 20. He is now 27 yrs old. It affects chances to get employment. What can we do to clear this up. He deserves a chance

First, since he was 20 at the time, my first question is: are you sure it was a DWI or was it a DUI. There is a big difference. If it was a DUI, there may be away to get off his record. However, if it was truly a DWI, unfortunately it will remain on his record for the reset of his life and will never go away. In fact as of September 1, 2005, if he ever in his lifetime is arrested for another DWI, he faces a much stiffer punishment than he did back 7 years ago.
