Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

Minor in Possession - criminal offense

I received a minor in possession a year ago. I am currently applying to study abroad and it asks if I have ever been charged or convicted of a criminal offense. I just need to know if my MIP is something I need to list. I'm not sure if I received differed arraignment (or whatever it is called) and am not even really sure what it is. I had no one at the time of the MIP to help guide me in what I should have done. So should I list it, and is there a way to find out if my MIP is differed if that is needed to not list it?

MIP is a criminal offense. It appears that you were at least charged with it so it would have to be listed. If you sucessfully completed deferred you would be entitled to petition for non disclosure. To deterimine if you received deferred, you should hire a criminal defense attorney in the county where you were convicted.
