Bigamy

I've recently discovered that my husband was still married to his first wife when we got married. I understand that our marriage is now legal but can I have it annulled? Or must I go through divorce proceeding to end it?

Annulment is allowed in Texas if the marriage has not been consumated. We do have statues that allow a marriage to be considered void, and divorce is also an option. The choice of options would depend on the details. You can call if you wish to discuss the situation. 817 261-2671
