Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Changing Visitation

The mother of my child is the custodial parent of my 3-year-old daughter, and I have standard visitation rights. I currently live in Austin and my daughter lives in Houston, so every other Friday I drive down to Houston and pick up my daughter and I bring her back on Sunday. Is there any way I can change the decree ordering me that I must pick my child up in Houston? I would prefer to meet at a half way point. If it were possible, how difficult would it be to get it changed?

Re: Changing Visitation

That should not be difficult at all. Of course it would depend on all of the surrounding curcumstances. When was the original decree signed? Were you living in Austin at the time? Contact me to discuss this further.
