Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child support/inheritence

my biological father never paid child support, or had any kind of physical presence in my life...he became a very well know lawyer...are there any laws that allow for recovery of unpaid child support once you become an adult??...also, are there any laws that would entitle me to any estate that has either been left, or that will be left if he is not dead...i plan on hiring a pvt investigator to find out the answer to that, and his location if still living...your response is appreciated!!

Re: child support/inheritence

Statute of limitations for child support arrears is 10 years after you turned 18. past that, it's too late. As far as his estate (if any), you might be able to make a contest there- very difficult. If you're under 28, and want my help with the child support, contact me by email.
