im getting divorce do i get to keep my car , i was already separated for over seven months when i bough this car berly making first payment this month of may 2012.

You ought to be able to keep it. The payments owed on a newly bought car usually equal the value of it. Your spouse may, however, claim he/she's entitled to 1/2 the equity, if any.
