Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have been the only father to a 4 year old boy who has had my last name since birth but i had a paternity test done and he is not biologically mine, but he lives with me and i take care of him. In the eyes of texas state law is he my son?

Where is the child's mother?

Where is the child's "real" father?

You may be able to terminate the "real" father's rights and adopt the child.
