Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Is the final court order void after the child turns 18? I have part of the order that seems to pertain to after 18 but it doesn't state at what age specifically. It states about $ for education and a college fund. So after 18 - do I only follow the rules of the College Fund? My son is a beneficiary to $ is in a college fund but no longer wants to go to school and wants the $. The court order states that if we're to use the $ for other reasons beside school - all 3 need to sign - me, grandmother and father. Does this part still able even after my son is 18 or can I just give him the $? He's almost 21 now. Thank u

Unless the order specifically says that it no longer applies after the child turns 18, then it DOES still apply. Your real question might be "Is it enforceable?" By that I mean, if you just give your son the money, what can the Court do to you? To answer that question, an attorney needs to look at the exact language of the order.
