Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Can my husband go to jail for lying on out marriage license application? I recently found out that he does owe back child support however he answered the question on the application falsely saying that he did not. Can he go to jail for this?

First, don't discuss this situation with anyone except an attorney in a confidential setting. He certainly should retain an attorney, at least tor a consultation to discuss the actual specifics of the situation. Bluntly, it is rare - most district attorneys have plenty of other things to do - and dads with arrearages get remarried all the time. There is specific timing and wording and acts which would affect the answer.
