Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband and I live in texas for the past 9 years. I found recently that for his emergency contact is his sister in New York. I think he has her listed because if something happens to him his job headquarters are in New York and his family can claim his benefits.

I believe that he has filed a will in New York where his family lives and he was born. I believe that he has left all his assest to them and nothing to me or his 3 children (one is a disabled adult). What can I do? I have been a housewife for 22 years. He has been able to go to school and make career advancements while I stayed home.

You have no control over what he does with his will.

A will disposes of one's property after one's death. You have no right to tell him how to do that.

One limitation is that he can give away only what belongs to him. He can't give away anything that belongs to you. This gets complicated because of community property laws in Texas.
