Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Modify Parent-Child Relationships
My child's father's Parents are trying to get custody of my daughter. It was a mutual agreement she stay with them until I could get back on my feet, as they said they were trying to help me out. Now I had her come back home to Kansas and enrolled her in preschool, they then asked if they could spend a couple more weeks with her if they brought her back by a certain time, I agreed only after having her father sign, print, and date a statement saying they would return her I have residential custody, meaning she lives with me and her dad has visitaion, they are now trying to take custody in another state is this legal?

Re: Modify Parent-Child Relationships
If they had possession of her for at least 6 months, then they can file for custody in Texas.
If the case is in the Houston area, you can give me a call.
My deposit would be $1,195 then a weekly payment plan after that deposit is paid.
Good luck!
