Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have been served with a divorce petition by my wife she is in Alaska and I am in Texas we have a three year old daughter together she wants sole custody and filed the forms stating that my daughter is living with her but my daughter lives with me I need to respond to the Alaska court system to give my answer to the divorce but Im not sure that if I do will I have to go to Alaska to settle the divorce .

Go hire a lawyer NOW and see about getting venue changed. It's called a special appearance.
