Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my son is an alcoholic. my daughter in law and his grandmother were leaving the drive way to go to the grocery store and he aimed the gun at them as they left. gun was empty and no shots fired. he blacked out has no recollection of what happened that day daughter in law moved out until they got all their issues worked out.....we found him a good alcohol councilor and they are going to marriage therapy. he sold all his guns and has not had a drink in 3 months. their councilors advised them they would have to report the incident to CPS since their daughter (3) was in the car and that it would be better for them my son and daughter in law to report it themselves before the councilors made their reports. they did....now my sons case worker is not even working out anything. she is demanding my son do all kinds of stuff thru only the people she wants him to see. she don't even call my son...she calls my daughter in law to tell what he better do. my daughter in laws case was closed by Tarrant county but my sons councilor says she will get her case reopened if my daughter in law does not get my son to do what she says or else she will take their daughter away. I need help....what are my options please

Dealing with the CPS is like dealing with Nazis. Nazis who aren't very smart.

Unfortunately, the local Judges tend to let the CPS get away with anything. You can beat the CPS in Court, but you'll spend $5000 on a lawyer, and it will wear you out.

Your daughter-in-law should record her phone conversations with CPS. They lie in Court.

I hate to advise you to do this, but: Often it's best just to cooperate with CPS, as much as you hate to do it.
