Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Almost two years ago, a friend from church had a boyfriend who got put on probation. She gave her two small children to me because he could not be around children. Now they say he can be but the kids have been with me almost two years, this is in Texas, cps is involved and says there is nothing they can do and kids have to go back to their mother (bio). The same woman who threw them away Al ost two years ago to be with this man. Is there anything I can do?. The children do not want to go back there. Do I have any legal leg to stand on so to speak?

In Texas, we don't let children decide where they want to live.
Is there any problem with the children being around their biological mother? Does she have any drug problems? Or a history of mental illness?
You probably have standing to ask for termination of the parents' rights, and adoption by you. Look at 102.005 and 161.001(b)(1)(C) of the Texas Family Code. A lawyer is going to want about $10,000.00 up front.
