Defining 12 work weeks

Is there an example of a start date and stop date for 12 ''work'' weeks? If request starts an FMLA on a Wednesday, does the first ''work'' week cover from Wednesday to Wednesday and then continue for up to 12 weeks ending on Tuesday of the 12th week?

The request covers 12 calendar weeks so it would end on the Tuesday of the 12th week.
