Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
My 17 year old daughter was caught with unopened bottles of Mikes Lemonade and a small amount of Marijuana(less then a joint) in her car in her high schools parking lot. The school and police said it was a class A misdemeanor. This is a first for both she and I. Will I need a lawyer to handle this? What does this all mean?

Yes, get a lawyer. Don't trust the police, and don't trust the prosecutor. Even if you have to go into debt, hire a criminal lawyer. Go online and send some emails and get some fee quotes.
