Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Car refinancing

I purchased a vehicle for a former roommate and we have severed all ties and I am now requesting that the roommate refinance the vehicle in his name and purchase insurance. What options do I have if he refuses to refinance? Can I reposses the automobile considering I am the legal owner? Since our separation, the vehicle has been burgularized while in his possession. I do not feel comfortable with the vehicle and insurance remaining in my name. Please advise...

Re: Car refinancing

If the vehicle is yours, financed by you, title is in your name, insurance in your name, you have every right to obtain possession of the vehicle.
