Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

My dad just got a judgement from a Texas court.. In Texas if the person has only one house you cant take that away from them. I was just wondering what the laws were in New Jersey.. the guy we're suing is in a New Jersey prison.. Thanks in advance
