Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Divorce settlement

In 1980 after 19 years of marriage my wife and I divorced. As a part of the settlement she received the house and owed me $7000. plus 10% interest when the first of three things occurred. All three have since occurred. She remarried and then died in 2000. Over the years I forgot about the $7000. Is there anything I can do about this now? Thanks for any help.

Re: Divorce settlement

The limitations on debt is four years. No matter how you look at it, you are barred from proceeding. It's too late to move against your ex's estate.
