Home owners Assc.

We purchased a load of topsoil to be delivered to our home. The dump truck ran up on our sidewalk and left a crack. Our Homeowners Assc. wants us to pay the cost of repair $386.00. They repaired 13 feet without dicussing it with us prior to repair. The crack was small and only needed 3 ft repair. Are we responisble for the cost? Also, our neighborhood has been repairing all sidewalks for the past year. There are cracks throughout our neighborhood.

Depending upon the covenants of the Home Owner's Association, you might be responsible for repairs. Certainly, you can contest the reasonableness of the repairs. You should make your protest in writing by certified mail, return receipt requested.
