Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

I loaned my soon to be ex-son-in-law around $800 this past February so he and my daughter could get into an apartment (overdue bills on his part). I verbally requested repayment within 3 months but apparently, he is not planning on paying me back at all. Do I have any legal recourse to recoup that money?

You can sue him in small claims court. A debt doesn't have to be in writing for it to be enforceable.
