Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

property

My former roommate had agreed to pay for the new furniture I financed. He is not making the payments and has the furniture in his possession. I don't mind paying for it if it's in my possession; how can I legally go about recovering my property?

Re: property

If you financed it, but it's in his name, there isn't much you can do except sue him for the money you've laid out.

If the furniture was bought in your name, send a letter, certified mail, demanding return of your property. If he fails to return it, you can bring a lawsuit against him for conversion of your property, money damages, and punitive damages because of his deliberate, wrongful acts.
