Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Self Representative

I am representing myself and I need to submit a final disposition and I don't know what this means? The judge sent me a letter stating no judgment has been furnished for entry and unless i furnish judgment an order of dismissal will be entered with cost taxed to me.

Re: Self Representative

Most state judges do not write their own orders or judgments. Those documents are prepared by the parties for the judge's signature. If you win a case you should write the document stating the decision of the court and disposing of all the issues in the case. You then present it to the judge for signature. Failing to do so, and especially in your case, can result in dismissal of the case. This might be a good opportunity to hire a lawyer to draft a judgment for you.
