Telemarketing

I was told that telemarketers were not allowed to call after 8 pm. Is this true? Also, is there anything I can do to stop them from calling, other than telling them to take my name off their calling list?

It is unwise, but not illegal, for telemarketers to call after 8:00PM.

You may write to the National Association of Telemarketers and request that your name/number be eliminated from their lists, but don't expect that to help very much.

Your best bet is caller ID or Privacy Plus from your phone company.
