triple Damage

What all has to be done to be able to file for triple the damage in small claims court and can the triple the damage exceed the small claims court $5000.00 limit?

You have to have a statute, or case law, that allows a multiple of your damages. That multiple cannot exceed $5,000.00 or the court loses jurisdiction over the matter and your case gets thrown out.
