Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

In 1996 my grandmother filed a I-130 petition for me but they told her it was going to take 10 yrs, I couldnt wait so i entered the US illegally the same year., 7 years later i got married, my husband filed a petition for my green card and cancell the I-130 , we didn't continue it because later we were told that i had to go back to Mexico to get green card reason why we cancel grandma's petition. I do not want to go back to Mexico, now we want to know what options we have without me having to go back to Mexico for x years I have 2 children now that I dont want to leave behind nor I want to take them to Mexico, What can we do?

Your grandmother couldn't have filed a petition for a granddaughter. Who did she petition for: one of your parents? How and when the I-130 petition was "canceled"?

If you came to USA illegally and are not protected under 245i provisions, you will need to go back to Mexico and apply for a visa and a hardship waiver. If, however, you are protected by 245i, you maybe able to pay a fine and apply for a green card in USA. To establish your eligibility, you need a legal advice.
