Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
APPEAL DEPORTATION\nmy husband is detained by immigration in dallas he is being deported what i want to know is if we can appeal the deportation while he is detained and if i can get married to him being in immigration jail while he waits to be sent to el salvador ?? i am a citizen and we have kids together he is not charged with any criminal cases but he was arrested for a warrant he had on no DL a while back is there a possibility the i might be able to get married to him and then apply for his papers ?? i understand they have to leave anyways to wait if the merit is granted or not.

You can marry him, if he he allowed out on bond (which would be up to the judge to decide). However, oftentimes even marriage to a US citizen cannot prevent deportation if he is deportable and not eligible for any relief.\n\nYou shall consult and hire a good immigration lawyer in Dallas area and discuss your husband\'s situation with a lawyer in private. Unfortunately, it\'s not possible to advise you here on the forum, and it\'s not really clear if he can be eligible for any immigration relief.
