Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

Me and my boyfriend had been living together since 2004. We have 3 children together and he got deported in 2006. They never took his resident card away. I think he got deported for 1 yr and I wanted to know what we can do so he can come back and get hisa residence back.

If he was a lawful permanent resident and then got deported, it couldn't have been for 1 year only. You need to find out more about his situation.

If he was deported, it means that his permanent resident status (green card) was revoked. What was the reason for his removal from USA?
