Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

I was brought to the united states when I was 7 years old on a b1/b2 indefinite visa back in 1996. I have graduated highschool and now I am going to a community college to get an associates on medical lab technology. I need a work visas at least to find a job in the field i am studying for is there anyway that I can get a work visa? I have heard about the new law of Cancellation of removal and adjustment of status through immediate family members would that law be of any help in my case? I have a 3year old son who is a U S citizen...

You might be able to adjust status through a US citizen spouse, if you are married, but not a 3-year old child. You can't get a work visa because, as I understand, you are in the United States illegally or out of status. On a B1/B2 visa, you have a definite term of admission.. When the period of admission had expired, you became 'out of status'. I suggest you consult an immigration lawyer.
