Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

I am a U.S. citizen. My sister is on F-1 visa. Should I apply for her I-130? There is no family member in the home country and single women are not safe in that country. She is also of the kind who has never lived away from the family and can't fend for herself. Please advise. My email address is [email protected].

You can petition for your sister, however, she may not be able to wait for her visa number in the USA aftre complition of her studies. Waiting period for this visa category is about 9 years for people born in most countries.

I suggest, you consult an attorney to plan a proper immigration strategy for your sister.
