They need to speak to a licensed immigration attorney (a lawyer), and not to a notario or representative of the USCIS.

From your post, it's not clear if you are eligible for any immigration benefits and what can be done. You need to speak to a lawyer. If you can't afford one, you might look for Free Legal Aid in your community.

If you are in deportation (removal) hearing in Immigration court, you will need to get your own lawyer because the Immigration Court is NOT going to provide you with the free lawyer.
