Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

Hi, I am a f-1 student with an expired status due to the fact that i did not go to school for about a year. I enterd the states in 2007 legally. I have never received a deportation letter. I am getting married in January with my boyfriend. I know about all the forms we willhave to fill out,but by getting married am I exposing myself to a deportation? WillIhave chace of adjustment of status?
