Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
My husband is a high school teacher, and one of his students won at the National Competition and has been asked to go to the International Competition. This student is an illegal. Is there any way he could get a visa to compete in this International Competition? The International Competition board doesn't care if he is an illegal, but we know he wouldn't be able to get back in the United States without papers--is there something, somebody could do to help this kid?

Hello:
It is not likely. However, if his parents are working on their status, he may be able to derive benefits therefrom. However, I would need to know about the status of the parents.
