Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Can I take away my ex husband residense papers away?
1 Answer from Attorneys
No, it's no up to you if he is a lawful permanent resident now (not a conditional resident). Even if he is a conditional resident, he can try to remove conditions on his own.
Besides, please remember that even after divorce, you remain financially responsible for him under the Affidavit of Support that you signed. Your obligations under the Affidavit of Support may end when he becomes a US citizen, for example.
