If you are a US citizen, you can petition for him (if you haven't done so already), and when the petition is approved, he'll apply for a visa and a hardship waiver. The most difficult part would be to prepare a strong and convincing "extreme hardship" waiver. He can come back to USA IF the waiver application is approved, all inadmissibility bans are waived, and he is granted a permission to reapply for admission after deportation.
