Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

immigration worries PLEASE READ

I am a Nigerian citizen and have been in the US since i was 6 years old, I am now 23 and though as a child I was brought to this country without my knowledge. The US is all i know and now it is sad to say that I am facing deportation. When i was 11 my mother married a US citizen who would have adopted me, but he died 2 months before the 2 yr marriage minimum... since then nothing has been done towards my situation by my parent until now. My mother got remarried but by that time i had already turned 18 so when her husband tried to file for me it got rejected and i recived a voluntary departure invoice :( . I have not left since then, i know noone and nothing in Nigeria. Fortunatly my mother is is 2 weeks away from becoming a US citizen herself because of that marriage! And i got married to a US citizen also, but have been in fear of taking the immigration physical needed while filing with him... If i was to fail it would i be deported? Is there a way my mother can file for me now without me having to take that physical? Im just so confused, the circumstances have me between a rock and a hard place. Im a student, and i went through grades k-12 in the US,but in college i have no financial assistance because of my citizenship status.

Have you had a lawyer through any of this process? You need one. There MIGHT be options available for you -- apparently your entry was legal, since your mother was able to adjust her status. Go see a lawyer.
