Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
i got married to a imigrant with no papers, my question is that we have been married for five years and we just had a baby.i want to know how do i start the application process? what applications do i need to file?how much will it cost? how long will it take for my husband to get his papers? does he have to go back to mexico? can he get a visa until he works out his application to stay in the united states?

If he came to USA illegally (was not inspected, and didn't have a visa), most likely, he will have to go abroad to his home country (Mexico) to apply for an Immigrant visa.
No, he can't get any temporary visa or a work permit until the petition is approved and an appropriate immigrant visa is issued to him.
The first step would be filing of an mmigrant petition, form I-130. How long it will take and how much it will cost depends largely on his situation and eligibility.
